By bus: Regular day and overnight buses depart from Kalanki Bus Park in Kathmandu (7–8 hours, ~225 km). The flight is faster and more comfortable; the bus is more budget-friendly.

The nearest Indian border crossing is at Bhithamore (Sitamarhi district, Bihar). From there, taxis and shared autos are available to Janakpur (~1 hour). You can also take the unique cross-border train from Jaynagar (India) to Kurtha/Janakpur — a scenic 29 km journey that takes about one hour and is Nepal's only international railway line.

All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. For Nepali citizens, a Citizenship Card or Passport is accepted. For Indian citizens, we accept a valid Indian Passport or Voter ID Card. Please note that Aadhaar cards are generally not accepted as valid travel documents in Nepal.

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled check-in date are fully refunded (excluding any transaction fees). Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a charge equivalent to the first night's room rate. No-shows (failure to arrive without notice) will result in the full reservation being charged.
